Priceline Hotel: Las Vegas Strip 1/9-1/10

So I am pretty new to this site, but I have used priceline alot in other areas like san diego and colorado. But never elsewhere.

I am going to Vegas for my 21st and want to stay on the strip but don't need it too be that top of the line.

I would like it to be a casino hotel which I think is all they really have on the strip, but if not I would like that.

I saw that the Stratosphere is listed on Expedia.com for 86$ for those two nights which is around what I would like but seeing how people talk about getting the Planet Hollywood for cheap at times, I would love to have that work or maybe even just get the Strato for cheaper.

Is that too much to ask for a weekend or what ideas do you guys have?

This is a Friday/Saturday night stay. $86 probably won't be enough for a Priceline 5* on the weekend. (5* is $215 on Hotwire.)

Stratosphere is a Priceline 3*.

What's your goal here...to get something better than the Stratosphere for $86 or less? Or to get a better price than $86 on a Priceline 3*?

Or to put it differently, if they were both available which would you prefer...a 4* at $86 or a 3* at $50-60?
