bennyb98 Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 Hi! This is my first time posting on here! Sorry if this question has been asked before but I did a search and couldn't find the answer.Anyways, I'm looking at taking a trip to Disneyland and I
bennyb98 Posted December 22, 2008 Author Report Posted December 22, 2008 WHOOPS!!! It would help if I looked in the right zone in the list of all the CA hotels. I think I answered my own question! haha great way to make an introduction! :)
Colfax Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding, bennyb98.Your subject line says "Disneyland-South" zone but the Holiday Inn on South Walnut Street is in the "Disneyland-North" zone (even though it has the word "south" in its address).I see a 3* with Highspeed icon only for $62 in Disney-North, and I assume that's the hotel you're wondering about.Per the Hotel List the Holiday Inn/Walnut has been reported in Hotwire Vacation Packages with just the Highspeed icon, although I'm not seeing it in Vacation Packages for your particular dates. The combination of a previous report with Highspeed and the matching stats on TripAdvisor make me think this is probably the Holiday Inn. But since every hotel in Anaheim has Highspeed, and some of them also have a 3.5* TripAdvisor rating, I'm not 100% confident.Since this is a six-night stay what about purchasing just one night to confirm the hotel's identity? Then if it's the Holiday Inn purchase the other five nights? (If you do that you should check that the same hotel is available for both sets of dates first.)does Hotwire change the listed amenities if the hotel is under construction or does it leave what it always has amenities listed? If an amenity isn't available during renovations Hotwire will remove the relevant icon(s) until renovations are done. Typically that would involve a pool, gym, or restaurant. But icons change all the time, whether there are renovations or not. I wouldn't say there's a rule that hotels under construction only show the Highspeed icon.If you purchase please use this HOTWIRE link, or let us know if you have any other questions first.
AaronJB Posted December 22, 2008 Report Posted December 22, 2008 One example would be the Palmer House Hilton, a giant hotel in downtown Chicago. The hotel was under renovation for quite a while, and the pool icon was gone during a good portion of that time. It recently started to return.
bennyb98 Posted December 26, 2008 Author Report Posted December 26, 2008 Thanks for the feedback! I purchased the hotel and opened another thread with my results!
