ScottF12345 Posted July 23, 2004 Report Posted July 23, 2004 I'm still working on getting one day for a hotel anywhere in oahu. The date is 7/31 to 8-1. A few weeks ago I found something that I decided I could do. I gave it a day to think about it and now it's sold out. I'm looking all over (Orbitz, priceline, hotwire, etc) and can't find ANYTHING for that day. Priceline has rejected 3*s up to 80, and 4*s up to 140. Hotwire doesnt come up with anything realistic for me. The cheapest is a 2.5 star for 120. Orbitz is very similar. I understand this must be an extremely busy day, being a saturday, during a large conference, and being this close to the date. My question is this: Am I Out Of Luck? Do you think my best bet is to grab a 1* for 69.00? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.Scott

ScottF12345 Posted July 25, 2004 Author Report Posted July 25, 2004 Gave Quickbook a shot. At first I thought this was great and everything would be taken care of. Unfortunately if you select any of the hotels that comes up on the seach for the date I need, It comes back unavailable :) . Going to keep looking around. Thanks for the idea, I now have another website to check out during researching trips. Have any other tricks up your sleeve? :) ...Scott
thereuare Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 I'd suggest calling QuickBook on the phone and seeing if they can help you with this... maybe it's a glitch in their system. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
ScottF12345 Posted July 25, 2004 Author Report Posted July 25, 2004 Gave them a call, unfortunately (of course) they are closed on sundays. Think I'm going to have to go ahead and suck it up and grab whatever I can. My flight is tomorrow morning and I'd really like to get it squared away before I leave. Thanks for all your help. If you can think of anything else that would be great. If not, thanks for all the help on this entire trip, I'm sure it'll be great in part because of this forum.Scott
