Priceline Hotel: 3* Grand Rapids (Southeast-Airport GRR) Holiday Inn Select Kentwood

I bid $45 for 2 rooms near the airport in GR, and got it on the first try. I stay in GR quite a bit, and Priceline usually puts me at Crown Plaza when I bid 3* (usually only bid 1 room, but traveling with a co-worker this week).

Expectations are low with the Holiday Inn Select... We'll see, but I usually hate the Holiday Inn's that participate in Priceline. Having a restaurant shouldn't be enough to make it in the 3* category... but maybe this will be a newer Holiday Inn. Unfortunately, there aren't many great hotel options in Grand Rapids, IMO. Detroit is another story--awesome Priceline options there (and I'll be posting on it later in the week--fingers crossed for Hyatt Place). I'll post later.

Congratulations on your win. There aren't too many reviews out for this property, and while Holiday Inn isn't my first brand of choice either, what reviews there are seem pretty good/favorable: review.

This is a newer Holiday Inn and they do have airport shuttle too if you need it. I think they build this property because unlike the rest of Michigan, Grand Rapids is booming. I think you will find it fits your needs as it is not one of the older Holiday Inns. (or should I spell that Holiday ENDS) :) As to Hyatt Place, that is our favorite priceline win. We like it even better than the Westins. Go figure! We have not stayed at the one in Utica, but we have stayed at the one in Auburn Hills and Livonia several times. Did you know they are building one in Grand Rapids??? It will be near the airport too.
