Priceline has redone its star rating in many areas. They added a 3.5 star rating and many hotels in the 2.5-3 star ratings have been moved around due to this change.

I think this is a positive development because in many areas, the new 3.5* rating creates more rebidding opportunities. Also I believe it reflects a deserved higher rating of the Courtyard and Residence Inns compared to properties such as Comfort Inn and LaQuinta.
