spsweet311 Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 Hi,I am torn between two hotels for 12/19 - 12/21 stay for 3 people. One option for $159 is for a 4.5*This hotel features the following amenities: Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Spa Services The other option is $109 for a 3*This hotel features the following amenities: Fitness Center Restaurant(s) High-speed Internet Access I'd prefer to pay $40 more per night to get the extra amenities...esp the spa since its for a girls weekend. With some help I am hoping its the Langham where we plan to go to the Golden Ticket Buffet anyway. Thanks for the help in advance!
slick_gd Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 The 4.5* looks to be the Inter-Continental and the 3* looks to be the Holiday Inn Beacon Hill. These would be my best guesses. The Langham has been reported on the board as a 4* win, however, HOTWIRE does not list a 4* hotel in the Quincy Market district for your dates. Expedia has the Langham on discount right now for $139, which is $20 cheaper than the 4.5* on HOTWIRE. So that seems to work out better than HOTWIRE since you'll save $20 and get the hotel you wanted.Use this HOTWIRE or Expedia link to start your purchase and let the board know the result.
spsweet311 Posted October 3, 2008 Author Report Posted October 3, 2008 Thanks for the tip. I checked it out but the Langham is only for 1 bed.I looked for 2 people on hotwire and then I am given 4 choices, the two previous and the following4* @ $106hotel features the following amenities:Fitness CenterRestaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-speed Internet Access 3* @ $112hotel features the following amenities:Fitness CenterRestaurant(s)Business CenterAny ideas?
Colfax Posted October 6, 2008 Report Posted October 6, 2008 If you need a room with two beds you should check HOTWIRE for 3 adults, not 2 adults. Checking for 2 adults only guarantees you a room with one bed. When you check for 3 adults do you see any appealing options?
spsweet311 Posted May 18, 2009 Author Report Posted May 18, 2009 Hotel was Intercontinental but I ended up not be able to go on trip so I lost on my great red. :)
