I wouldn't hold my breath on this. Even if it arrives in Santiago, I doubt it will be useful. NYOP bidding is theoretically available in Buenos Aires and Rio and Lima, but there are no zone maps, meaning you could get a hotel anywhere in a gigantic area.

Willtravel I fully agree: if you can't choose region they'll give you hotels at airport or in suburbs. However as we could see in this forum the overseas hotels participating in the priceline game are usually the US-chains like Marriott, Sheraton, Hilton etc. As there are not so many US-chain hotels in BsAs or Rio it could be easy to guess which hotel it would be even the region is huge.

On the other hand: a self-rated 5* in Rio might be only 3* in US-terms, same I highlighted already in the Stockholm thread: in Europe the real 4-5* hotels are rare and usually the US-chain hotels belong to the 3* level even they can't believe it themselves :)
