WillTravel Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 I wouldn't hold my breath on this. Even if it arrives in Santiago, I doubt it will be useful. NYOP bidding is theoretically available in Buenos Aires and Rio and Lima, but there are no zone maps, meaning you could get a hotel anywhere in a gigantic area.

However as we could see in this forum the overseas hotels participating in the priceline game are usually the US-chains like Marriott, Sheraton, Hilton etc. As there are not so many US-chain hotels in BsAs or Rio it could be easy to guess which hotel it would be even the region is huge.On the other hand: a self-rated 5* in Rio might be only 3* in US-terms, same I highlighted already in the Stockholm thread: in Europe the real 4-5* hotels are rare and usually the US-chain hotels belong to the 3* level even they can't believe it themselves :)
