XT600 Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 which one is it? there is no Marriott in Tiergarten, West-Berlin, is it the Coutyard by Marriott, Koepenik? If it THE Marriott in Potsdamer Platz Congratualations!! if not: Koepenik is far outside of BerlinOne more tip: the hotel breakfast prices in Germany are exorbitant: I'm sure they"d charge you $40 plus 15% service per person for a buffet :)

XT600 Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 question goes to FredrikSWE?Why do you name it "Tiergarten-Kufuerstendamm"if this hotel ISNOT on Kurf
WillTravel Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 The original poster did not give it the name "Tiergarten-Kufuerstendamm". That's the name that Priceline gives to the zone where the Marriott is located, even if it's not strictly accurate according to how the average tourist or resident would divide up Berlin. When you do a Name Your Own Price bid, you should look at the zone maps and figure out if you are okay with that entire area, and don't be misled by the name of the zone. One common trick is for PRICELINE to use Downtown in the zone for various cities, but then it also includes an area outside Downtown. Or they use the name of a desirable neighborhood as a shorthand for a zone that's much larger than that neighborhood.

XT600 Posted October 3, 2008 Report Posted October 3, 2008 Thanks THERYOUARE!Another reason to be very careful using Priceline for a (new) city like Berlin. Tiergarten/Kurf
