beezstertao
Need a 1-night stay in Pasadena on Nov 8th.Checked the following hotel's and best published online rate:Sheraton - $129Westin - $179Hilton - $169I'd probably be willing to bid up to $100 seeing that the winnings have been in the $80 - $90 range, and I do hope to get Westin as opposed to the other 2 properties. Any tips for me? Link to comment
Colfax
What does HOTWIRE have in Pasadena on Nov 8? You might be able to identify the Westin in advance there. There's no way to control which hotel you might get on Priceline. Link to comment
thereuare
I did a HOTWIRE search for your date only only saw what i think is the Sheraton offered for your dates.PRICELINE has just instituted a new star rating system and it is believe that all three hotels above are now rated 3.5*... so if you want to try for a 3.5* property this is how i would suggest proceeding given the amount of time before your stay:At the 3.5* level you haev one Priceline Re-Bidding Explained zone available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 3.5* Pasadena...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bdi zone...Bid $80.Any questions feel free to ask. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. petronella
Seeing as they all have the same star rating I don't think there's any way you can really control the outcome, my only tip would be to check the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins around this date to see what other people are getting. I think I've seen the Pasadena Westin a lot on there lately. Link to comment
beezstertao
Used the link and tried to bid $75 (rejected), added free re-bid zone (Monrovia) to $80 and rejected again.Hotwire is showing what I think is the Sheraton Pasadena for $89.. at this rate, I may just go with Hotwire instead. thereuare
Congratulations on your win!Looks like a very nice deal. We've added 3.5* to your topic title and the one nite of 11/8 (i'm assuming your bid on 2 rooms given your total) can you confirm that both of these are correct.Thank you for sharing your results with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding.Enjoy your stay.
