ScottF12345 Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Bid up to $60 without the saturdaym (8/1-8/4) with no luck. Hotwire has it at 99 for those days. Getting a little stuck and frustrated. I know i can get the ohana waikiki village but I'd rather not... trying to work things out... ill keep you updatedScott
ScottF12345 Posted July 14, 2004 Author Report Posted July 14, 2004 Out of bids for today. Think I'm going to try to go all the way up to 70 for the 31st through the 4th and cut my losses. 2 hotels is much more convenient than 3. The problem will arise if i dont get it for 70.I'll let you know when something happens.
ScottF12345 Posted July 14, 2004 Author Report Posted July 14, 2004 already bid upto 65 for 31st through the 4th. so got a new account up and running and went 66, 68, 70....73 extremely reluctantly. im not to happy reading the reviews. but atleast its 3*s on most sites unlike the waikiki village which is 2 on most.... luckily or unluckily i havent yet decided i didnt even get it at 73! I think I'm going to take a breather and decide if I want to go back up to 4*s for 110 or so....... sorry about all the ranting but i figure the worst that can come of this is a little insight for another bidder.ScottEdit: went for the 4* 95, 100, 105, 110, 115... nothing..

thereuare Posted July 16, 2004 Report Posted July 16, 2004 Glad to hear your plans are materializing and thank you for using the hotel links at SavingsBarn.comI wouldn't recommend just 'popping into a hotel' during your trip and staying the nite. The hotel knows you're a captive audience and unless they give you a very obscene rate know that you're not likely to get back in your car and drive down the road in order to check other prices. They'll therefore give you 'just' an obscene rate... high enough for them to take advantage but not high enough that you'll go elsewhere.Check out Expedia and do a search. You can then look at all the hotels on a map (click the link on the top right corner to do so) and see what else is near the Prince. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
