You're looking at the regular flight booking section of PRICELINE - not the bidding section. You have to search for two specific airports (for example, SFO to JFK), then priceline will give you a link to the bidding section on the top left corner of your results.

In general, the return on Sunday is bringing the price up. If you can return on Monday (12/1) the price goes down to $485 on Orbitz.

Good luck... Please use the travel links in the "support page" section here if you choose to purchase.

So you have been bidding and you're not winning? How high are you bidding? Which airports are acceptable?

Thanksgiving is a rough time to be looking for a plane ticket. There's a chance the prices might go down as you get closer, especially if there's a flight that ends up with a lot of empty seats. Are you comfortable waiting?

Well I don't know if I'd say it's good to wait... It's a major gamble...

But if you can tolerate that, I'd keep searching and keep bidding until you're no longer comfortable with the risk of the price going up. You should also consider hotwire.

Also, farecast is a great resource for this (www.farecast.com)... Right now its prediction is 80% confidence the price will go down on at least SFO-JFK.

It's always a gamble tho...
