Priceline Hotel: 2* Toronto (Markham) Howard Johnson

Start off bid is $40, 2.5*

Increase the bid to $45, 1* without realizing that Howard Johnson is part of the priceline hotel list.

It's kinda a disappointment, because I actually wanted either Courtyard By Marriott , or Residence Inn, or Staybridge Suites.

Anyway...for future reference, please update the hotel list.

Just a couple of tips, however. There may be hotels that participate with PRICELINE that are not on the list, that's why its important to read the first paragraph of the list as well as post the details of each win so that the list can be updated. When crafting a bid, I often will check out PRICELINE's "Shop and Compare" product and you can see the names and star ratings of hotels and retail prices, just understand that not all hotels that appear on the Shop and Compare site are available on the Name Your Own Price (bidding) site. You bid $40 for a 2.5*, then increased your bid and lowered your star rating, this is not recommended. The Courtyard and Residence Inn are 2.5* rated properties, so you could only get these if you were upgraded from 2* to 2.5*.
