This property has not yet been identified, if i were to take a guess i think the Ramada Gaslamp could be a possibility. If correct the $149 rate above, plus HOTWIRE's fee, doesn't offer too much of a discount vs. the hotel's $169/nite rate, imo.

Not sure of your needs, but Quickbook has the Bristol Hotel for $149/nite which gets pretty good reviews and is advertised as '3 blocks to the Gaslamp Quarter'.
