:) newcomer! please help -- would like to know how to guarantee that I get the Gaylord Palms on Priceline or Hotwire. Can anyone help me?

Husband and I want 4* for romantic weekend by pool with tropical music. Searched and found Gaylord Palms or Marriott World Center provides this. How can I make sure I get one of these 2?

Ok did what you said, put in payment info and guess what happens after a week of searching and questioning etc... they take $ out of my acct and then says

sorry unable to complete your request. error 109 your card has not been charged (yeah right- I just checked and the $ is gone) so I call customer service, they tell me that they will call the bank to release the charges at 9am tomm morning, when I call them they will 3way with the bank.

So now the reservation is not there, I lose out on the deal, becuse the only $ I had for the hotel they took so I cant bid again till tomm. They said sorry for the inconvienence and they could not make the reservation for me. What is your advice? This is the first time I have ever used Hotwire. I was leary but saw that others had no troubles so went ahead and now dont know what to do..

I don't think there's much you can do, and the money has probably been put on 'hold' rather than charged, but tomorrow morning make the call and i'm sure it'll all be take care of.
