Have you tried bidding on PRICELINE yet? If so, how higih did you bid at each star level?

I bid on Priceline all the way up to $170 and nothing got in. I've been doing this everyday for the past week or so which is why I have given up and I am now considering Hotwire.

I am willing to pay the price provided I can get some idea as to what hotel we are getting beforehand.

The 4.5* is a match for the Sofitel so that would be our best guess.

You dont' state the star rating for the second hotel, but if it's a 4* then it's a match for the Inter-Continental and that would be our best guess for that one.

If you're willing to keep bidding for another 7-10 days I think you have a good chance of winning a 4* on PRICELINE for less than HOTWIRE's $169 rate.
