Priceline Hotel: 3* Marin County (San Rafael-Larkspur) Four Points

I have attempted to bid on the above dates, up to $150.00 for Union Square East. It seems like Oracle World convention is driving up the prices on these days.

I am considering bidding on rooms in sfo, or ssf if downtown is too expensive.

Is it too early to bid? What strategies should I try for if I do south SF or SFO for these dates? thanks!!!

Oracle World will be 9/21-9/25 at Moscone Center.

Hotwire has nothing 4* in any Downtown zone and only one 3* for $279 in USW.

With big SF conventions like this it's not unusual for availability to open up in the week or two before the convention, due to last minute cancellations. With your $150 limit I think you might win a 4* Downtown closer to your dates. If you want to hold out for a Union Square location you could book a cancellable backup now and keep bidding once a week or so.

Or if you prefer securing something now you could bid for a 3* in Fisherman's Wharf or Cathedral Hill, or try for something near the airport.

I prefer a 4 * in USE or USW. I tried again yesterday, 8/5, up to 150, no luck.

Could not find any use or usw for under 150.00 decided to stay north of sf in san rafael. Bid 65 for a 3* rejeced. Won at 70.00 selecting novato as well, got four points sheraton.
