Yes you're right that construction work is taking place. My suggestion: Just ask for a new renovated room, and you'll get a fairly good value for money, far away from construction noise.

Another suggestion: Try to avoid taking breakfast in the hotel. It's expensiv and you'll be in the middle of construction dust. And the service there is horrible ... our experience 3 weeks ago.

I got a double bed as requested and according to the hotel, all the rooms are now renovated. All the staff was super friendly and I got a brand new room for $44. I didn't use any of their facilities so I can't comment on them, but the lobby is looking quite impressive with minor details still being completed. I did notice when I logged into my priceline account for the reservation # that they had down graded the hotel to 2 1/2*. Overall I was very happy with my stay.
