dsilva51 Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 New here and so grateful to find you!I'm looking to book 2 nights in Hershey for August 10th -12th. My goal is the Sheraton from all the reviews here. Any help with this? If it's not listed, which is my next best? All the help would be great!Dawn
thereuare Posted July 17, 2008 Report Posted July 17, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding!I think you're approaching this the wrong way... since you can't "choose" which hotels you want HOTWIRE to offer you, deciding your favorites and hope they show up is futile. Better to do a HOTWIRE search for your stay and see which hotels (if any) are offered in the zone within your minimum star rating requirements and budget. From there you can try to identify the offerings (we can help) and make a decision which is best for your needs. If you do a current HOTWIRE search does anything appear within your budget and desired star rating? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. dsilva51 Posted July 17, 2008 Author Report Posted July 17, 2008 Since you guys are so good at it! LOL My goal is to get the best hotel for under $100 closest to the park. any suggestions?
dahammer Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 how many are in your party? PRICELINE only guarantees sleeping accomodations for two, this could be a double bed, how would this work for you? Also, the hotels closest to Hershey are pretty steep in the summer, would you rather pay $125 to be in the Hershey zone or $75 to be 15 minutes west of Hershey?
dsilva51 Posted July 18, 2008 Author Report Posted July 18, 2008 There is 4 of us. I may spend a little less and stay a little farther. Thanks for your imput.
dahammer Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 I would second thereuare's recommendation that you check out HOTWIRE as you can do a search for 4 in a room. Everyone will be accomodated, but this could be a room with a king and a sofa bed. I can honestly say that have only been denied a few times in obtaining a room with two doubles or queens. I assume you'll be going to get Hershey Park happy, they just opened a new section of the water park called The Boardwalk and it looks pretty awesome. Take a look at the Hershey zones on HOTWIRE, the Central Harrisburg zone is fairly close to the park, maybe 20-25 mins away. The Harrisburg West is a bit further away, we stayed in Camp Hill at the Radisson and that was 35 mins away. Good luck! You also may want to check out Giant Foods supermarket nearby, they offer discount Hershey Park tix and you bypass those waiting in line to buy tickets, so you'll make up for the additional few minutes travel.
dsilva51 Posted July 19, 2008 Author Report Posted July 19, 2008 thank you! I actually already have the physical tickets, I just need a place to stay.
