Priceline Hotel: 4* San Francisco (USE) Le Meridien

Hi,

I am completely new to Priceline bidding and I would appreciate your inputs. I need a 4* hotel for 2 adults and 1 child for Aug 16-22. Would prefer USE area. I suppose there is no guarantee to get 2 queen beds? Can you provide a bidding strategy?

Your $125 limit is realisitic. A six night stay can be difficult to win but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try. Ultimately you might have to split your bid to get accepted but you might as well try for six nights at one hotel if you prefer that. Some people find staying at two different hotels enriches their vacation experience...more variety. And others hate to move and will pay a higher rate to avoid that. Up to you.

Another issue is that PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, which could be a room with one queen bed. Most 4* hotels in USE will be able to accomodate a two bed request or provide a rollaway but there's no guarantee of that. Do you still want to take a chance and use Priceline for this?

On HOTWIRE you can stipulate a party of three and only be offered options with two beds. When you enter your dates on HOTWIRE for a party of three do you see any options that appeal to you and are within your budget? Someone can try to identify the hotels if you'll post the icons you see.
