Priceline Hotel: HELP: Priceline Midway Airport (MDW) - Oak Lawn

I have several questions how this is going to work. I'm going to be flying into Chicago's Midway Field on the 29th of July. Arriving at 2:00 AM in the morning. Ideally, I would like to bid on Priceline and obtain a room in the MDW - Oak Lawn zone and have the hotel come and pick me up. (middle of the night) In the morning I would shuttle back to MDW and pickup a rent a car to drive to Oshkosh, WI for the EAA Airventure Airshow. OK, I have read on this board that the Oak Lawn zone is a tough zone to bid in. I could move north to another zone, but I would need to rent my car in the middle of the night for transportation which is an unknown at this point if the rental car counters would be open through the night. I plan on trying Priceline for the rental car. Can anyone shed some light based on their experience how I might accomplish this plan and what pitfalls that I might fall into. TIA

I would first get the hotel room, then deal with the rental car.

Once the hotel is won, you could then call them directly to find out about their shuttle (if any) schedule and then determine your car rental needs.

Not sure if i've answered your question or not, but hopefully another user with first-hand knowledge of MDW will be able to offer assistance.
