Priceline Hotel: San Francisco 8/8 - 8/11 - advice?

Hello,

We're vacationing in SF from 8/8 - 8/11. I would be most happy with "Boutique" but would be ok with 3* and up. Budget up to around $90 but preferably around $75, not sure how realistic that is. Location, not so important as long as close to public transport. Ideally not surrounded by tourist traps (so, probably avoid Fisherman's Wharf?).

I checked the star ratings and it looks like USE/USW are the only ones with Boutique. Cathedral Hill and Fisherman's Wharf have 3*'s available. Wondering if Cathedral Hill (Zone1) might be off the beaten track but still interesting. I don't know too much about SF - have never been, really looking forward to it!

Any advice welcome.

Regards,

Linda

For a first time visit to SF I think you'd be happiest in USE or USW if you can find something in those zones within your budget.

I'm not sure if $75 is enough for a Boutique, but worth a try. In the Priceline hierarchy Boutiques are sort of a 3.5*.

Civic Center, Cathedral Hill, and South San Francisco are your three free rebids for Boutique bidding. If you don't understand what I mean by free rebids feel free to ask.

For starters I'd suggest selecting USE and USW and bidding $60 for Boutique. Then add South SF at $65, Cathedral Hill at $70, and Civic Center at $75.

Please use this PRICELINE link to start your bids.
