Linda R Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 Hello, We're vacationing in SF from 8/8 - 8/11. I would be most happy with "Boutique" but would be ok with 3* and up. Budget up to around $90 but preferably around $75, not sure how realistic that is. Location, not so important as long as close to public transport. Ideally not surrounded by tourist traps (so, probably avoid Fisherman's Wharf?).I checked the star ratings and it looks like USE/USW are the only ones with Boutique. Cathedral Hill and Fisherman's Wharf have 3*'s available. Wondering if Cathedral Hill (Zone1) might be off the beaten track but still interesting. I don't know too much about SF - have never been, really looking forward to it!Any advice welcome.Regards,Linda
Colfax Posted July 9, 2008 Report Posted July 9, 2008 For a first time visit to SF I think you'd be happiest in USE or USW if you can find something in those zones within your budget.I'm not sure if $75 is enough for a Boutique, but worth a try. In the Priceline hierarchy Boutiques are sort of a 3.5*.Civic Center, Cathedral Hill, and South San Francisco are your three free rebids for Boutique bidding. If you don't understand what I mean by free rebids feel free to ask.For starters I'd suggest selecting USE and USW and bidding $60 for Boutique. Then add South SF at $65, Cathedral Hill at $70, and Civic Center at $75.Please use this PRICELINE link to start your bids.
