2 adults plus a child

Hi All

I am currently bidding for the first time using PRICELINE. I note that the website says that the rooms are for two adults. Does that mean that if I am successful, I would be charged an additional fee upon arrival at the hotel for my daughter (aged 11) or are children free (if they sleep on the sofa bed.)

Thanks everyone

That is possible but usually not. But you may be charged and extra fee for an extra bed.

Thanks everyone

The room may not have a sofa.

HOTWIRE allows you to search for up to quad occupancy per room. So while it is usually a little more expensive than PRICELINE, you don't have to worry about the occupancy issue.

I have a similar issue. I booked a hotel, and Priceline only asks for the number of adults per room.

I have never used priceline before, and I have a 7 year old child. To make a long story short, I booked a room, and then found out there would be a surcharge for my son.

Priceline said it was up to the hotel to determine the charge.. The hotel said it was up to Priceline to determine the charge. Ultimately I sent a message to Priceline corporate and am waiting to hear back.

I feel like I should have read better, but it also seems that every other travel site asks about additional travelers (adult and child).

I told priceline I did not want to get a refund but would like to get a different hotel that could accommodate all 3 of us. I will post there response.

Anyone else experience this?

As per Our Rules and Policies:

If you have a complaint, problem, or question with a recent or upcoming Priceline/Hotwire stay, we will be happy to do what we can to help, but please be considerate of the board's primary goal of helping others and first post the details of your 'win.'

It is important for everyone to know when problems and customer service issues arise, but the majority of the users come here to see winning bid information... so please oblige them with this information before asking for them for help.

Please share the details of your win with the board as a NEW TOPIC so that others can benefit from your 'win'.
