dahammer Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 no love was shown in the Jersey City or Secaucus-North Bergen zone, I bid up to $105 for a 3* and $95 for a 2.5* and $85 for a 2*. I started a new bid at $80 at the 3* level in the Meadowlands-Rutherford zone as what appeared to be the 3.5* Sheraton on HOTWIRE for $95. Success!Your Offer Price: $80.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $20.50 Total Charges: $100.50 This property has never disappointed me as I've stayed here at least 10 times, with the only exception of having to pay $10 for WiFi, but having a car is almost a requisite. The hotel is bordered by wetlands, NJ turnpike entrance ramps, Route 3, and is across the highway from Giants Stadium. I have read elsewhere that guests can be shuttled to the Secaucus Junction train station and upon the return from NYC, just call the hotel and the shuttle will arrive within 15 mins. I've never done this so I can't confirm. The location is not as convenient as Jersey City or the Secaucus hotels located in the Mill Creek complex, but for the money, this hotel is tough to beat. I've found that the best way to Manhattan is to drive to the North Bergen Park and Ride, $8.50 gets you parking and a two one way bus tickets to the Port Authority Bus Terminal. The rack rate was $289, so this rate works for me. :) Now, if I can only get an upgrade to the Club floor......Made my PRICELINE bids through the links on the board.
