Priceline Hotel: 4* NYC (MTE) InterContinental The Barclay

A bid of $141 on Priceline got me this hotel...what a steal considering the room I got was normally $500.

No mention of Priceline at check-in, but was simply told my reservation was pre-paid. Asked for a room on a higher floor and was told all they had was the 4th floor; was given room 452, a fairly large room facing a construction site, which was LOUD in the morning. I'm guessing this was the 'Priceline Room'

The room was of a good size and was clean

I didn't pay for internet...I managed to steal it from the Marriott across the street (make up and enter a realistic room number and last name and you might get in to the Marriott's internet, I did!)

All in all, a great value!

Dates of your stay please?

I bet Mr. Smith at the Marriott wasn't happy at check-out when he had to explain that he didn't use the internet service and can't understand why he was charged. :)

Actually, the name I used to get in to the internet was 'P***y' (censored for the sake of being appropriate!), so I doubt that Mr. Smith had problems getting the charge removed!
