Colfax Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 Bids placed the night before, through BetterBidding's PRICELINE link.$50/2.5* NO. $55/2.5* YES.ResInn's best rate online was $229!With savings like that I'm not going to complain about the $22/night parking, valet only.

Colfax Posted June 18, 2008 Author Report Posted June 18, 2008 I won this the night before my stay. The day of my stay I tried to extend one night with Add a Night. Request was refused with no counteroffer. Res Inn was $229 on the night I won at $55 and $259 on the night I was refused. $229 vs $259...not a big difference.I tried conventional bidding then and was rejected up to $75 for 2.5* in Beverly Hills-West Hollywood and Hollywood zones, and up to $68 for 2* in the same two zones. This morning I see Res Inn's rate has dropped to $229, same rate as the night I won. I wonder if my Add a Night request would have been accepted if I'd waited a few more hours for the rate drop? I'll never know. You can only try Add a Night once per reservation and I'd already booked something else by the time I saw the rate drop.
