Thanks so much! I did see the 4.5*, but I actually prefer being closer to the Ferry Building/Embarcadero Building. I've stayed at the CQ before and had a pleasant stay. Is the new IC that good?? It cost me about another $100 for 4 nights.

Colfax or somebody else local to the area can problably answer better than i, but i think the InterContinental would be a little 'step above'... nice amenities, sheets, towels, service, etc as well as being new vs. the Club Quarters which is usually more of a 'basic business hotel' which simply provides function and satisfies a need.

So a lot will depend upon your needs for this stay and how important the 'small comforts' are to you. As well, keep in mind that other things (such as Internet accesss) will probably be a little mroe expensive at the Inter-Continental. The reviews so far are certainly excellent.
