OCTraveler
Looks like PRICELINE has a new zone for Laguna Beach which is not listed on any of the existing hotel lists I can find. Does anyone have experiencing bidding in this zone? Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! If you (or anyone else) is familiar with the area, do you know if this is a new area not yet convered, or is this zone a sub-set of a previous area? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. OCTraveler
Based on the existing lists, I believe this is a new area as none of the hotels in the existing lists would fall into this zone. Link to comment
Colfax
I'm not sure of this but it appears the former Dana Point-Laguna Beach zone has been split in two. The new zones are Dana Point-San Clemente and Laguna Beach.Laguna Beach offers bidding to 2.5* and Dana Point-San Clemente goes to 4*. I don't recall the old Dana Point-Laguna Beach zone offering 4*, so either a former 3* there has been upgraded or some new 4* has joined PRICELINE.Input from any South Orange locals is welcome. kayla
I believe Laguna Cliffs Marriott has been upgraded fr 3* to 4* in Dana Point zone as of early 2007. Link to comment
Colfax
Thanks, kayla! I expect someone will confirm with a 4* win there before long. Link to comment
socalsun
Assuming the Holiday Inn (Dana Point-San Clemente) on the hotel list is the one in San Clemente (there is also one in Laguna Beach), then I don't see any hotels in the existing list either that would fall into this category. It will be interesting to see if they add some more hotels at higher * levels in the future - that is a really nice area with some excellent resorts.
