Haven't seen anyone mention they won this one on here so maybe I am the first.

Was hoping for the Venetian or Palazzo and got Trump. Surprising.

Tried $145 (countered with $252)

Increased to $155, accepted.

Given the fact that it is over the 4th of July, over a weekend, and there is a fight in town, published rates have been through the roof. I honestly believed that I was going to have to bid near $200 to get it done.

I hadn't thought of the Trump either. There isn't a casino inside, but evidently the rooms and service are first class.

I'll certainly post a review when I get back!

Welcome to BetterBidding!

Thank you for sharing your winning bid with the board and helping us add this property to the Priceline Hotel List.

In August i stayed at the Palazzo and my room looked out directly on to this property, which is slightly off-strip.

Hopefully this will work for your needs.

thereuare,

Thanks for doing such a great job with the site. I've learned some great bidding strategies!

What were your thoughts on the Trump? Did you have a chance to go inside, or was it too far off the strip to bother.

I'm not sure how to feel about it yet. I really had my sights set on the Venetian or Palazzo.

The more I have been thinking about this, the more deceived I feel. Given the way their map was laid out, one would not expect Trump to fall under the "Strip" region. I sent an email to Priceline management, but was of course denied a move to a "Strip" hotel. They did offer me a $10 bonus per day on my next bid. Guess I might have to take this up with the credit card company to get it resolved.

I know it is not exactly on the strip, but it couldn't possibly be farther off the strip than Westin, right? I mean, this place was built on Frontier's property. It is a bit of a walk, but so is the Westin. I know that you weren't bidding on a four star, but I'm just making a comparison. I can see how getting either Trump or Westin could upset someone, but that's part of the downside to using a service like PRICELINE. Now if their map wasn't updated to include Trump's area, then I agree that is deceptive and you have a point. Who knows though, you might enjoy staying there. It sounds pretty luxurious.

Yeah, I'm sure it will be great if it sticks. It's a 5* deal no matter how you look at it. The place looks gorgeous. I just wish there was a casino there.

Me and my wife just came back after 2 days at the Trump. We had a car so distance was not an issue. I was also blindsided by this one however it turned out to be a wonderful blessing! My wife is pregnant so we wanted to avoid as much as smoke as possible while granting my wife's birthday wish to go to Vegas. The hotel is 100% nonsmoking. The service was impeccable. We were upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite on the 52 floor (about 950 or 1000 sq ft I think versus 500 or 550 for the standard studio) although we had also bid through PRICELINE. The room, bathrooms (1 master + 1 in living room area), living room and kitchen were beautiful. The master bathroom had all marble, double-headed separate shower and a nice large jacuzzi in addition to a separately enclosed toilet. The other bathroom was a shower only, sink and toilet. Towels and robes were very nice. There were 2 Plasma TVS (1 in room and other in living room) in addition to one within the bathroom mirror. The kitchen was fully stocked with imported utensils and plates. The turndown service (with truffles) was a nice plus. We were provided with chilled water upon check-in, while we waited for the valet to deliver our vehicle in addition to the valet driver placing two bottles of water in the vehicle cupholders. Ultimately, I found the hotel to be very romantic. We probably spent way to much time in the jacuzzi :)

Just remember that valet parking is required for your vehicle at a cost of $14/day. Because we're not big gamblers nor smokers, we may have found our new favorite hotel in Vegas!

Hope you enjoy your stay!

That's great! Glad your stay was excellent!

How did you manage to score the upgrade even though you bid through priceline? Did you have to grease some palms?

I'm so glad you posted your review. My friend had me bid on Priceline, 100% sure we would get the Palazzo or the Venetian and we ended up getting the Trump as well. I bid 5*, Vegas Strip North, 120. Priceline countered with with $183 and I accepted b/c I just knew it would be the Palazzo....boy was I wrong. Anyway almost all the reviews are positive so I guess we have to make the best of it. We are staying August 30 - September 2. Not too bad considering it is a holiday weekend.
