gonzalka Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 Hello!BTW this site is GREAT!.... always saves me a lot of $$$...We are going to London for 6 nights June 23 to 29th, but being that the Dollar is so weak I need your help to place a perfect bid on PRICELINE. HOTWIRE is too expensive for those dates.I've never been in London and do not know which areas are good for bidding and any of your recommendations very appreciated. Please advise how to proceed... and hopefully we can keep it around $100 a night!... I know it wont be easy...Thanks for your help.
dahammer Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 Need to save $$$ - any comments welcomehow has this site saved you $$$? Can you share the results of a recent stay?
gonzalka Posted May 23, 2008 Author Report Posted May 23, 2008 Pittsbourgh Marriott City Center for $51 en of May... is the most recent example...
thereuare Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 gonzalka,I think dahammer is suggesting that you share your winning bids with the board (as NEW TOPICS so that the information can help others and the threads can appear in the Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins... nobody will know to look in this thread to learn of your Pittsburgh win). Users sharing their results is the lifeline of the board and it's only natural to post your wins in order to help othes... just as you have been helped by others postig their wins before you.I've never been in London and do not know which areas are good for bidding...Let us know once you decide which zone(s) you're willing to bid and we'll advise accordingly. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
gonzalka Posted May 23, 2008 Author Report Posted May 23, 2008 As you can see I just registered as a new member. Right after registration I posted the Pittsburgh hotel in the correct forum too. We are very grateful that we got that hotel and saved at least $600... We were about to pay $100 a night somewhere else when we checked your forum... and of course that is why we joined... to share the info, plus get some advice.I guess I will just give it a shot today with London at around $100 all zones close to the center at 4*... it might work... I will let you know.
blindman Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 Have a look at the Wiki, some useful info and links in there.
gonzalka Posted May 24, 2008 Author Report Posted May 24, 2008 Nothing!... bidding up 122 for a 4* on every area except the docks... but no luck! I will keep on trying every day so I will let you know how it goes.
