ravinia
Didn't have time to post earlier, but this place apparently puts out regularly at $27. A fine stopover for someone travelling across country by car, or a base for some mountain sightseeing or sport. The town daily paper (free in lobby)had dozens of 2 for 1 restaurant coupons; on Tuesday, one place had $2.99 entrees with a free bottle of house wine with purchase of two! (entrees @ $2.99, not bottles!) They are losing the Sheraton name later in the year. Link to comment
thereuare
Sounds like deals are to be had everywhere in that town!... my kinds of place. Is the property actually changing hands, or just removing the Sheraton from the Four Points title? Thanks for reporing and helping us continue to grow with new hotels. ravinia
Their website says "The Four Points by Sheraton Silverthorne is leaving the Starwood system on October 22, 2004. Please contact the hotel directly for reservations after October 22, 2004."Our guess is they're being "stripped" of Sheraton FourPoints brand. Maybe to become Best Western, Comfort Inn or something else. They will still probably be the lowball bid hotel of choice in this zone; can't believe they'd drop out of Priceline at these occupancy rates.Another nice cheap find -- City Market grocery, though most sale items require getting the store "loyalty" card. Raspberries, $1/pint, Breyer's ice cream $1.98/half gallon. Notice how the blister packed items such as disposable cameras 'puff' at this altitude (9200 feet). Link to comment
