Colfax
I just wanted something cheap near the airport after a flight landing at 11pm.Rejected bids:$44/2.5* Airport$42/2* AirportI was trying to keep bid levels below the trigger point for an unwanted upgrade to 3* with $12 or $15 parking.Last month I won this Days Inn on Priceline for $38 and $40. Tonight it's $44. The regular rate was $70 then. Tonight it's $80.Bids were placed through BetterBidding's PRICELINE link. Link to comment

Colfax
The morning of checkout I tried Add a Night, after bids to $75 in my preferred zones were rejected.Priceline said an additional night at Days Inn would be $60. That seemed like a lot to me for a Days Inn and I decided to try and undercut the price by bidding for a 2* conventionally. With a $50 for 2* bid I thought I might win one of the other airport 2* like La Quinta or Holiday Inn Express, which I'd prefer over Days Inn anyhow. I knew there was some risk of an upgrade to 3* with pay parking, but I gave it a shot.My $50/2* bid was upgraded to the 3* Hilton with $18/night parking and $9.95/day internet. I should have accepted Priceline's $60 offer at the start. :) Link to comment
