Priceline Hotel: 4* Toronto (Downtown) Sheraton Centre

I will be traveling to Toronto and have used your advise the last 4 years. I see that some of the 3 starts are now 4 stars.

We would like to stay downtown. The three star we have won in the past is the Marriott Bloor Yorkville which has a great location. Could you please assist in a bidding strategy. We would like to start at 45 and go no higher than 70 per night?

Also, do you have any insights into the 3 stars in downtown? Again, we have stayed at the Sheraton but just love the location of the Marriott? Are there any other hotels that have been

won in that area?

The Bloor and Eaton Mariotts in Toronto are now rated 4*. If you bid 3* in the price range you listed you could also get the Courtyard, Delta Chelsea or Radisson Admiral. There seem to be a lot more in the 4* range. The summer is busy so you might have to go into the higher end. Check the rack rates - you'll see that things are well over $200. The good news is that there are so many free re-bids in Toronto that you can really try to seethe best price. I had to go over $70 for a 4* in June but I did get a fine hotel. There's no way to get the Marriott on Bloor with any certainty and it's probably the worst of the 4*'s. If you do bid 3* there are fewer free rebids as well. My advice: 3* bid 55-65. 4* bid $65-$85. In each case with increments as fine as you have patience to deal with. You should check some of the web site to make sure rooms are available on all dates before bidding. If things are full you have to consider more remote zones.
