dbCLE Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 2.5* hotel in Westchester (Tarrytown-White Plains) for $69 - $79 per night (May 23 - May 26, price varied slightly with different days)Amenities: Breakfast, Fitness, Pool, InternetI've stayed at the Elmsford La Quinta (not booked on Hotwire) in this region before, and it fits this description. The Hampton Inn White Plains fits the description, as well. However, the Hampton has a business center, and this would normally be listed on Hotwire, correct?From what I heard from a resident of that region, the La Quinta used to be the Wellesley, which had horrible reviews. When I stayed at the same property under the La Quinta name, it was very satisfactory (comparable to a nice Holiday Inn Express). The Wellesley was listed under the "hotwire-pinned" list of hotels, and the Hampton was not, further leading me to think that my Hotwire search is indeed the La Quinta Elmsford.There are currently no 2.5* hotels listed for this region on the "hotwire-pinned" board.Is anyone familiar with this region enough to suggest any other potential matches for this description?Thank you!
dahammer Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 I'm pretty sure that this is the LaQuinta in Elmsford; a quick search of HOTWIRE packages confirms this as well. If you'd like to try PRICELINE, stay at the 2.5* level or higher as the Extended Stay America is rated at 2* for a spartan, dorm type room.
