Priceline Hotel: Tried Williams / GRand Canyon area

I'm not asking for advice just telling you all what I bid through pcln.

July 30-31

2* Williams + Grand Canyon (because GC will be much more expensive I'll get a Williams hotel, GC is a free rebidzone for me)

All were rejected.

Cheapest rate I could find was $59 (excl Tax) for Holiday Inn, so I am not willing to bid a lot more than 40-42. No pcln inventory for those dates yet.

I have a month of bidding left so no worries there.

If you would be willing to settle with Flagstaff, the choice of hotels is much bigger there and your chances will be a lot better. As to the Grand Canyon, driving-Time will be about the same from both places...

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn and the La Quinta in Flagstaff through Priceline, paying as low as 26$ for the Fairfield Inn last year in August. Rates may be a bit higher now, but my guess would be that you won't be paying more than 35$ even in July.
