Priceline Hotel: 4* Hotel in Manhattan for 5/3-5/4

Hey,

I'm looking for a hotel room for one night on... 5/3-5/4. Really would like to stay at a 4* but noticed that prices have gone up a lot since I last booked a room on PRICELINE or HOTWIRE. Not sure what a reasonable offer would be or what is a good backup option in the city. Any help would be appreciated.

you may want to check BetterBidding's Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins, you will see that there have been two wins reported for your dates of travel. What is your maximum budget per night and the zones that you are willing to accept?

With just 4 days before you stay i don't think you're in the timeline for booking a back-up as many hotels must be cancelled a few days before arrival.

I am looking for exactly the same stay (4* for 5/3-5/4 in Manhattan). I have found that this is turning out to be a sold-out weekend in NYC and finding a bargain is tough.

I have so far bid up to $280/night for 4* on Priceline with no joy.

Well I wanted to try to spend less than $250. Time was you could get a 4* in NYC for less than $150 on PRICELINE, but I guess this weekend is just a really busy time of year.
