TJewel Posted April 25, 2008 Report Posted April 25, 2008 I bid this for a friend whose preference is Hotwire and not Priceline. After successfully getting a hotel for him for a late flight into TPA he decided to spend the rest of his stay in the Busch Garden area. Hotwire had a 3* in this zone for $49. I asked if I could bid on Priceline for the next 2 days and after lots of begging on my part he reluctantly agreed. Since I knew he didn't like PL I started the bid extremely low at $35 then planned on going to Hotwire when it didn't get accepted. Instead of a immediate rejection I received the you will have a answer in 15 minutes. It took Priceline 30 minutes to email me with a acceptance for the Hyatt Place Busch Gardens.
thereuare Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 Congratulations on your success... we'll see if you've made a convert out of him :)Both PRICELINE and HOTWIRE each have their purpose, and i've used both depending upon my needs... i suppose your friend likes to have a reasonable guess as to where he may be staying before he commits to a purchase.Glad it worked out well for him (and you... as it may not have if he received a hotel he wasn't happy with) and he saved a few extra dollars. Thanks for the post. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
