HOTWIRE had a 2* for $94, thought this may have been the Best Western; in the Long Island City/Elmhurst zone the 2.5* Pan American was also available for $95. Thought I could do better with PRICELINE so I went back to the JFK zone and bid $85 for a 2.5* and received a counteroffer to increase my bid by the ubiquitous $22. Closed my browser and re-accessed PRICELINE through the links on the board and bid $89, success!Your Offer Price: $89.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $23.46 Total Charges: $112.46 the marriott.com rate tonight is $289, or $331 with tax :) If unsuccessful tonight, I would have stayed at a Comfort Inn or Clarion for around $115 in Jamaica. The only issue at the Courtyard is a lack of free parking, valet is $20 but there is some parking on the street. Its a fairly new hotel, only a few years old, and like all Courtyards, WiFi is free.
