Any idea who the hotel might be on Hotwire for Orlando Universal I-drive North Area, 5/2 - 5/5, $43, 3***, 9.2 miles from MCO, complimentary breakfast, Pool, Fitness Center, and HIgh Speed Internet. Thank you.

I did go to Tampa last January (I think it was in January more or less, may have been February), but didn't get a hotel through Hotwire. I booked through Choice hotels using points, though the place was a dump and I regretted the decision.

Also, I'm fairly new to this (meaning very rarely used this site, though I tavel a lot) and don't know what bump the thread means.

Also, if I had used Hotwire for Tampa and didn't send in information, does that mean I would be cut off from other information which your reply (which seems a touch unpleasant) implies? It's as if you hadn't considered that maybe someone would use a regular reservation system instead of Hotwire or Priceline.

Never mind - I booked without any (useful) answer from this site, and the place is Hyatt Place Orlando/Universal, so all in all, it seems a pretty good deal for a nice place.

You're not "cut-off", but ideally every thread should have a conclusion. Wouldn't it be better for future users reading your other thread know that you booked a hotel direct rather than left wondering if you were successful and didn't post back, gave up trying, cancelled the trip, etc?

As well, posting that you booked direct (and where) can also help others when they might be having trouble finding affordable accomodations in the area for their own stays.. knowing that you booked the thru Choice Hotel could give someobody else an idea of alternatives to PRICELINE and HOTWIRE (and your follow-up that you didn't like it can also advise them to avoid this option).

As you can see it's all about sharing information, and that is what makes this board so useful, so we simply ask that you follow-up your threads with conclusions... it's simply good netiquette.
