MJRBIM Posted June 6, 2004 Report Posted June 6, 2004 Decent 2.5* hotel, room doors face out onto the parking areas - so I guess I would actually call it a motel. It's about three minutes from the I-476 exit, next to the Wyoming Valley Mall.We arrived around 1:00 AM Saturday morning - no problem with after midnight check-in or PL. The TGI Fridays in the lobby was still open and busy (they do room service or take-out for the rooms). Our clean, comfortable room was around 500 Sq. Ft, on the main floor side facing away from the road. It had two-double beds, TV, small fridge, microwave...and a very small bathroom. This is an older property, I wouldn't want to vactation here - but for a one-night near the Interstate - it was just what I needed at 1 AM.General facilities were good -* Free continental breakfast buffet* Free outdoor parking* Free wireless highspeed internet* Outdoor poolNo problems at check-out, the clerk said it was pre-paid and there were no incendentals. If I were bidding this again, I would start MUCH lower than the $51 I won it for...
mcgervey Posted December 9, 2005 Report Posted December 9, 2005 I nabbed this hotel for a $30 bid. Decent hotel and location. I agree with this reviewers remarks as well. Good quality, not something to write home about though. Typical traditional type Holiday Inn. DON'T BID $50 unless its for the downtown area!:)Cheers, RJ
