Enrico Ng Posted March 28, 2008 Report Posted March 28, 2008 I'm looking at state college, pa. for 4/12 one night.Doing searches directly at hotel sites for ones listed here pretty much all come up with no availabilities.does this mean my chances are high that I'd end up with a far away hotel or one that isnt so good?

thereuare Posted March 28, 2008 Report Posted March 28, 2008 Doing searches directly at hotel sites for ones listed here pretty much all come up with no availabilities. This does reduce your chances. Hotels give excess inventory (which they don't think they will seel themselves) to the opaque suppliers at deeply discounted rates. If they hotels believe they will sell out on their own, then there is little reason to offer rooms to PRICELINE and HOTWIRE at deeply discounted ratess since they can make more selling those rooms on their own at full price.does this mean my chances are high that I'd end up with a far away hotel or one that isnt so good?If you win a hotel it can be anywhere within the shaded region of the zone at the minimum star rating your select.Does HOTWIRE offer anything for the nite you need? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. Enrico Ng Posted March 28, 2008 Author Report Posted March 28, 2008 the offer a 2.5* at $79 which is more than I expected to pay.My friend got a hotel earlier on so I will probably just stay with them in lieu of getting my own room.
