This hotel was just a great place to stay! We were here for 5 nights and really appreciated the spacious apartment style accommodation with a full kitchen, separate living area and dressing area. Our room also had a wood burning fireplace (first log is provided free) and a small balcony with two chairs. I think most Residence Inns follow the same basic design, with either the studio suites or the penthouse suites (separate bedroom and some have more than one bath). The complex is a series of buildings with two outdoor barbecues, three outdoor jacuzzis and a swimming pool, as well as the usual sports court. The main building has a pay laundry and a dining area where they provide a hot breakfast each morning and a hospitality hour (with some kind of hot food and/or snacks) most evenings.

Most people want to visit the historic Plaza area while they visit Santa Fe, and although we were not right nearby, I found it a very pleasant 30 minute walk to the Plaza through a rather picturesque residential area. Staff were helpful and efficient, and overall, we were extremely pleased with our stay. The Residence Inns can be very appealing to families, and this may be a good or bad thing depending on your preferences and family situation. With just the two of us and hoping for a quiet room, we were a bit afraid that we might be too aware of children in the complex, but most other guests were either couples or people working in town for extended stays.

The buildings and some of the room features here are starting to show their age a bit, but it was clean and quite well-maintained.
