AnneFitzgerald
Looking to stay at the Mondrian one of the weekends in May before Memorial Day weekend. I saw winning bids ranging from $110-$130, but it looks like it's going for over $400 on their site.Any suggestions, oh wise and wonderful Powers That Be?Thanks! :) AF Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! You can't bid on a specific hotel... are you willing to accept any 4* hotel in the zone? When trying to target, or avoid, a specific hotel HOTWIRE may be a better option since you can often identify the property beforehand based upon the amenities and star rating shown... but still no guarantees.Let us know your thoughts regarding the above. tenngirl
FYI, I just recently stayed near the Mondrian and it looks like it is under heavy construction. It may not be the nicest place at the moment, and I think the Sky Bar is also closed. Link to comment
smartcookie
The hotel is under construction possibly until the end of the summer. SkyBar is still open though. This hotel doesn't get great reviews on TripAdvisor. However, it's hip (though doesn't look great with construction). There is a new 4-5 start London Hotel on the strip now as well - the old Bel Age. I wonder if they're using PRICELINE. They have special "just opened" rates at $249 with free parking and breakfast right now. I always the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links from this board for my purchase! Link to comment
AnneFitzgerald
Thanks, all. Due to the construction and my friend's unwillingness to stay in anything less than a 4*, we ended up bagging the trip! Link to comment
