coharahawk Posted March 13, 2008 Report Posted March 13, 2008 In the near future I will be reserving and paying for a hotel room for someone coming to town. I was wondering if anyone knew how to carry this out via PRICELINE. Do I use my name to make the reservation or the person that I'm reserving the room for? Also, if I use my credit card to reserve the room, do I have to personally check into the hotel myself? Thanks in advance.
Colfax Posted March 13, 2008 Report Posted March 13, 2008 Yes, you can do this, coharahawk, if you and the person you're making the reservation for are over 21. On the PRICELINE bid page they ask for the name of the hotel guest. That doesn't have to be the same person who's bidding and paying. You don't have to show up and check in on their behalf. The reservation will be under their name. The hotel will want your visitor's ID (with a name that matches the name on the reservation) and a credit card for incidentals (parking, movies, room service, etc). If your guest doesn't have a credit card or you want to pay for their incidentals yourself just contact the reservations manager at whichver hotel you win and explain the situation.
