Colfax Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 Searching 3/12/08 I see HOTWIRE's "Civic Center South" zone is now "Civic Center South-Hayes Valley". I don't know if that's just a name change or if the zone's boundaries have changed as well. There's a 3.5* hotel in that zone, which I dont recall seeing before. Amenities are:BoutiqueComplimentary BreakfastHighspeed InternetAnyone want to guess what that 3.5* is? I don't find it in Vacation Packages.
thereuare Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 Thanks for the change of zone notice...Are you looking at specific dates for the HOTWIRE hotel above? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Colfax Posted March 11, 2008 Author Report Posted March 11, 2008 I was looking at 3/12/08-3/13/08 and that 3.5* hotel was $146. At that price I won't be purchasing so please don't spend time researching this one, thereuare. I was just idly curious which hotel the new 3.5* could be. In the next few days I'll play with it some more.
Colfax Posted March 11, 2008 Author Report Posted March 11, 2008 I didn't wait a couple days to research.Free breakfast at a 3.5* hotel is unusual. That narrows things down considerably. I think Inn at the Opera is the most likely candidate. 333 Fulton Street, at Franklin. Inn at the Opera is two blocks west of the Civic Center, not south, which also explains the zone's name change.
BEAV Posted March 14, 2008 Report Posted March 14, 2008 You're probably right about the Inn at the Opera speculation. I see it's under new ownership, which is the same company (Shell Vacations Hospitality) that owns the Vino Bello Resort in Napa (a fairly new Priceline/Hotwire entrant as well).
