Colfax
$24 isn't a typo. My first bid for a 2.5* was accepted. Same day bidding. I should have tried $20 or $22.Sands regular price was $39. After tax and Priceline fee I saved about $10 using PRICELINE.This was a Thursday night stay and prices in Reno were crazy low. I found the following on Expedia:Silver Legacy $45Eldorado $40Grand Sierra $49Atlantis $39HOTWIRE had a 3.5* for $25 and I was going to book that if my $24 bid wasn't accepted.I found the Sands Priceline friendly. They asked if I wanted one bed or two; smoking or nonsmoking. I was on the 7th floor out of 15. The Sands isn't the finest hotel in Reno, for sure, but it's not a dump either. My room looked recently renovated and was on a par with the room I had at the higher rated Silver Legacy last time. Link to comment
