I want to bid on a flight from Philadelphia to Provo, Turks and Caicos. In checking various flight schedules, I notice that one airline lists a flight that leaves about 10Pm and goes to Charlotte, where the connecting flight is 10AM (the next day)! Would priceline use such a flight?

Priceline lists their maximum layover times on their site somewhere (or you could email them). By memory, I think that Priceline would not use such a flight, but Hotwire might. Hotwire wrote in an email that layovers on international flights can be up to 18 hours. But best to find out from Priceline directly.

Here's their chart (in ASCII format):

Destination region Avg. connection times booked by priceline (hours) Maximum connection times booked by priceline (hours)

Africa 3.9 8

Asia 3.0 8

Australia 2.5 8

Caribbean 1.5 4

Central/South America 2.3 5

Europe 2.3 6

Middle East 3.4 7

South Africa 4.5 12
