jbomb060 Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 After staying at the Novotel in North York I found out that there was a $15 parking charge, so I thought I would try to do another hotel search on Priceline for the Mississauga area and was able to get the Courtyard by Marriott Corporate Centre West for only $36 for 1 night Feb 21-22. (About $185 through the hotel site)
dahammer Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 thank you for your post, can you please confirm the star rating of this property? It had been reported as a 2.5* previously. This sounds like a nice win and a great deal compared to a conventional booking. Thanks!
jbomb060 Posted February 27, 2008 Author Report Posted February 27, 2008 Well its rated as a 3* on Expedia and I think I would rate it 3* as well. It was a great hotel, pretty new with great decor, comfortable room and friendly staff. I think I got an awesome price for it. I paid almost three times as much for a Courtyard Marriott last summer before I knew about priceline. (Or at least before the Canadian dollar reached par with the Greenback!)
dahammer Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 Thanks for the update, but the rating that HOTWIRE assigns trumps all others. This will make the information in your post useful to anyone else looking to bid in this zone. The star rating is available by going back to your account on HOTWIRE and checking "my stuff", can you please check that and post the results?I am a big fan of all Marriott properties, and for me, its a thrill to get a Courtyard for 1/3 the standard rack rate, the CY beds are fantastic and the business amenities are first class.
Haliboy Posted February 27, 2008 Report Posted February 27, 2008 I've stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in Mississauga a few times through Priceline. It is 2.5 star, as is the Marroitt Residence Inn, which is right next door. $36 is the best I've seen - I have gotten it for $45 in the past. Residence Inn is a better deal - its a "suite" with a kitchenette and complimentary breakfast.
