thereuare Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 What is your maximum bid for a 4 star hotel? Is there a reason you're avoiding the North Strip zone? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
alsadah Posted February 18, 2008 Author Report Posted February 18, 2008 not more than 80 $I selected the South Strip Zone because my target is Planet Hollywood. I saw a lot of people getting that for 45-55 $I increased it to 60 without successThanks.
thereuare Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 Many are winning hotels other than the Planet Hollywood these dates, and we haven't seen the $45 Planet Hollywood deals in over a month or so, so i suspect they're not likely to be available for your dates above.Do you want to stick with only bidding the South zone or are you also willing to include the North zone? You do have 2 re-bid zones available, are you using both of them? (NOTE: Summerlin is not one of them)Let us know the above and we will suggest a strategy for you to follow. alsadah Posted February 19, 2008 Author Report Posted February 19, 2008 I was hoping for Planet Hollywood :)But any hotel is O.K as long as it is witthin walking distance from the Strip, 4* hotel, and 80$ or lessI can also change my dates to 3/17 - 3/20 to avoid the weekendThank you for help
thereuare Posted February 20, 2008 Report Posted February 20, 2008 Assuming you're ok with any 4* property in the North and South zones, you can try as follows:When bidding 4* in Vegas you have two re-bid zones available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* South Strip...Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $60, if rejected add re-bdi zone...Bid $65, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* North Strip...Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $60, if rejected add re-bdi zone...Bid $65, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* South Strip and North Strip...Bid $70, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $75, if rejected add re-bdi zone...Bid $80.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes.
