Went up to 3* and bid $60 in the Newark (EWR) zone, rejected. Increased bid to $65, success!Your Offer Price: $65.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $18.18 Total Charges: $83.18 This hotel, formerly a Holiday Inn, Wyndham, Doubletree, is being converted to a Renaissance in December 2008. Parking is $12 and HS Internet is $10 :) and no chocolate chip cookies to boot! The rack rate is $169, so I guess I can buy my own cookies.
thereuare Posted February 14, 2008 Report Posted February 14, 2008 Thanks for the update on this property.I've never stayed here, but it looks just fine from the outside, i'm surprised they change brand affiliations so frequently.Hope your stay was a good one. dahammer Posted February 14, 2008 Author Report Posted February 14, 2008 Little has changed since it was a Doubletree, except the Shula's Steak 2 restaurant is gone, hopefully along with the high prices and poor quality. The walls are a little thin and I had a few loud neighbors, sounded like they were having a party but didn't invite me........I would stay here again, but my all time favorites in this neck of the woods is the Country Inn and Suites or the Courtyard in Elizabeth.
