Diamond Dog Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 Hi,Wonder if you can ID these hotels - very specifically, two adults & 2 children, staying one night (Sat 26th July) checking out on the 27th:3.5* Pasadena $89 per night (reported as 31% savings) Fitness/Restaurant/Laundry/Tennis/Pool/ Business Centre/ High speed internet(3.0 out of 5 from 40+ tripadvisor ratings)3.5* Glendale-Burbank-Universal City $115Fitness/Restaurant/Pool/Busniess Centre/High Speed Internet(2.5 out of 5 from 100+ tripadvisor ratings) 3.0* Pasadena $99 per night (reported as 34% savings)Complimentary breakfast/Pool/High Speed internet/Fitness/Laundry(no tripadvisor ratings)--------------------------------------------Also, as regards Dodgers Stadium, is Pasadena easier to get to than Glendale/Burbank/Universal City - and what are the approximate distances?Phew! Thanks for your anticpated help!
thereuare Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 as regards Dodgers Stadium, is Pasadena easier to get to than Glendale/Burbank/Universal City - and what are the approximate distances? Please find out first if the above are an acceptable distance from where you need to be, we'll then try to ID whichever properties are possibilities for your stay. You may get a response from somebody who knows the area which indicates that one of the zones above isn't good for a commute to Dodger's Stadium... so it's not worthwhile to research the property if not a viable option for your needs. Diamond Dog Posted February 5, 2008 Author Report Posted February 5, 2008 Having done some research, the areas are within 20-40 minutes of Dodgers stadium, which is fine. I'm sure they are okay, so I'd be happy to stay in either.
Colfax Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 The 3.5* Pasadena is a match for the Pasadena Sheraton. I'm seeing it $86 now for two adults/two children.I didn't try to identify the other two hotels because they're more expensive and lower rated than the Pasadena Sheraton. If you purchase please use BB's HOTWIRE link and let us know what you get.
Diamond Dog Posted February 5, 2008 Author Report Posted February 5, 2008 Thanks - looks excellent. It looks a decent hotel. That 3* with complimentary breakfast is slightly more expensive, but I may be tempted (because of the breakfast). Any clues?
thereuare Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 The 3* property has not yet been identified, but my guess is the Holiday Inn Express. Please use this HOTWIRE link to begin any purchases you make. Diamond Dog Posted March 5, 2008 Author Report Posted March 5, 2008 Again, thanks for your efforts, but I booked the Holiday Inn Express direct. It worked out (including taxes) a couple of dollars cheaper than the Hotwire quote, and it is (of course) guaranteed to be the HIE in Pasadena.

Diamond Dog Posted March 19, 2008 Author Report Posted March 19, 2008 I am very sorry for missing that - I never realised the arrangement you had direct with hotel chains and individual hotels. Of course, I now know after that excellent deal you directed me to with Sheraton in Vegas yesterday.I shall look for a link in the future.
